Don’t worry, Bay Area. Even under shelter-in-place, you can still get all the wine you need

The San Francisco Chronicle published a story about how, despite being under shelter-in-place protocol to protect the spread of COVID-19, locals will have no shortage of wine options to choose from. The piece outlines the huge uptick in wine sales at retail, and how many wineries, like Chateau Montelena, are also making it easier for consumers to enjoy their wines in the safety of their homes.  Matt Crafton, Chateau Montelena Winemaker, confirmed the winery is offering curbside wine pickup and that he “hoped that the coronavirus situation would help people recognize the value of a California-based supply chain – not just for wine, but for all goods.” He added, “There’s something to be said for supporting local businesses in times like this…We’re here, and we’re still able to get our customers the wine they need.” Read the full story HERE
