25 Rosé Wines (and Champagnes!) We’ll Be Drinking on Repeat This Summer

Parade included Champagne Bollinger Rosé NV, Champagne Ayala Rosé Majeur and Minuty Prestige 2020 in a round up of the best rosés to drink this summer.

Writer Kelli Acciardo said, “Fresh as a rosé, balanced as a Bollinger, as they say. Perfect for a picnic on a summer afternoon, as a pre-dinner drink or served with a fruity and tart dessert.” As for Ayala’s non-vintage offering, Acciardo adds, “Rosé Majeur’s very high proportion of Chardonnay and the aging process result in a Champagne with remarkable finesse.”

Moving away from bubbles, the piece accurately offers, “if you notice just one wine on the beach in south of France, it’s almost always Minuty Prestige. Can’t make it to Europe? Sipping Minuty is the next best thing. Sourced from two estate vineyards—the original estate vineyard in Saint-Tropez and Chauteau Verez in the hills of Vidauban—this rosé is beautifully pale with pomelo highlights.” Read the full story HERE

In the same way that Special Cuvée stands apart from non-vintage Champagnes, Bollinger Rosé is an exception for Rosé Champagnes. What is more, it is a relative secret, as Bollinger did not release a non-vintage Rosé until 2008 and the quantity produced is quite limited. The wine begins as Special Cuvée and then Bollinger's specialty as the Pinot Noir producer in Champagne takes center stage, as the red fruits that join the conversation dance vibrantly, the finish has just a hint of perfectly repeat tannin, and the deep complexity of the wine shines through transparently.

    Champagne Bollinger

    Champagne, France

Bollinger is one of the rare Grande Marques that’s still family owned. Known for its rich, elegant and polished style of Champagne, their outstanding wines are the result of rigorous attention to detail and incredibly labor-intensive practices that few houses are willing to undertake. Underscoring its excellence, Bollinger has remained British secret agent James Bond's Champagne of choice since 1973.

    Champagne Ayala

    Champagne, France

Ayala is one of the most exciting stories in Champagne today — the definition of a boutique Champagne producer. Independently owned, a small, young and dynamic team handles every step of production from grape reception to labeling in their jewel of a facility with incredible precision, crafting Chardonnay-focused wines that deliver immense pleasure, freshness and elegance.
