9 Rosés That Will Transport You to the South of France This Summer

Robb Report wine columnist Sara Schneider highlighted a selection of wines that will help virtually transport you to the South of France this summer, including Château Minuty 281, Rose et Or and Prestige.

Schneider first gives reader background on Minuty’s influence promoting rosé as a high-quality wine, not just a lifestyle option, and that the family-owned estate produces rosés at every price point, for every occasion.

She explains the Château Minuty 2019 281 is named for the royal blue Pantone color of the St. Tropez sea and sky, and that it is produced from a single plot of old-vine Grenache. “The concentrated beauty leads with soaring aromas of spicy jasmine, conjuring warm nights on the Côte d’Azur. Nectarine and pink grapefruit join the florals, followed by flavors of tangerine, white peach and layers of minerality.”

She also mentions that Minuty 2019 Prestige, “a longtime favorite on café tables in France,” is available for the first time here this year. “Structured and minerally, it combines delicate rose petal and ripe nectarine on the nose, with vivid citrus and tart raspberry on the palate.”

Last, but not least, the story notes that “if you’re going to throw on a tablecloth for dinner, the Château Minuty 2019 Rose et Or is your wine—elegant, complex and dressed to kill. Honeysuckle, wild strawberries and citrus give way to peaches and orange peel.” Read the full review HERE
